Standards and procedures for submitting, managing, and moderating reviews on the MyDivePod platform.
This Review Policy sets out the standards and procedures for submitting, managing, and moderating reviews on the MyDivePod platform. Its purpose is to ensure all reviews are authentic, honest, and based on actual experiences; to prevent fraudulent, defamatory, or abusive reviews; to protect the reputation of Pod Organisers and Users; and to maintain a trustworthy marketplace where users can make informed decisions.
This policy applies to all reviews submitted on the Platform — including reviews of Pod Organisers and their Pods, reviews of Users and Guides, star ratings, written comments, photos or media attached to reviews, and reviews submitted through any channel.
Reviewers must have directly participated in the Pod experience, be the account holder, and be at least 18 years of age. Reviewers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of their review. Reviews must be based on genuine personal experience and must not include personal data of third parties, promotional links, or incentivized content.
Fraudulent — Reviews based on experiences that did not occur, fake, paid, or incentivized.
Defamatory — False statements that damage the reputation of a Pod Organiser, User, or Guide without evidence.
Abusive — Hate speech, threats, profanity, or discrimination based on protected characteristics.
Spam — Promotional content, external links, or multiple similar reviews submitted in a short period.
Irrelevant — Content unrelated to the Pod experience.
Privacy violations — Personal contact details, home addresses, or recordings of individuals without consent.
IP violations — Reproducing copyrighted content without permission.
Users may submit reviews through the Platform's review form after completing a Pod experience, within 90 days of the Pod ending. Reviews must include a star rating and a written comment. Photos may optionally be included. Only Users who directly participated in the Pod may submit a review for that experience.
All submitted reviews are moderated by MyDivePod staff before publication. Reviews that violate this policy will be rejected and the reviewer notified. During investigation MyDivePod may verify booking records and review submission history. Both the reviewer and the Pod Organiser are notified of any action taken. Reviewers and Pod Organisers may appeal a moderation decision within 30 days of notification; appeals are resolved within a further 30 days.
Each Pod Organiser may request investigation of reviews they believe are false or defamatory; respond publicly to reviews on the Platform; request removal of reviews containing false statements; and appeal moderation decisions. Pod Organiser responses must also comply with Section 04 and must not include abusive or defamatory content.
Reviews are rated on a 1–5 star scale. MyDivePod may display average ratings per Pod Organiser, use ratings to rank and recommend Pods, and take ratings into account when assessing a Pod Organiser's continued operation on the Platform.
All reviews are published alongside the Pod listing unless they violate this policy. MyDivePod does not suppress negative reviews simply because they are negative. The reasons for removal of any review will always be provided to the reviewer.
MyDivePod is not responsible for the content, accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of reviews submitted by Users. Reviews reflect the opinions of individual reviewers, not MyDivePod. Users relying on reviews should conduct their own independent investigation before making booking decisions.
MyDivePod reserves the right to modify this Review Policy at any time. Changes will be published on the Platform, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
